OXGGI Studio
Genomics analysis, statistics and research mentoring, in English and Chinese
OXGGI Studio is a one-person studio run by Liu Yang, a genomics postdoc. It helps researchers, graduate students and small biotech teams with bioinformatics analysis and statistics on their own data, research mentoring and graduate-school guidance, teaching in R, Python and statistics, scientific editing, and short science videos. Work is done in English or Chinese. Every job starts with a written scope, a fixed deliverable list and a price you approve before anything begins. You keep ownership of your data, your text and your decisions.
Credential: postdoctoral researcher in bioinformatics (pangenomics, livestock genomics, GWAS, RNA editing). OXGGI Studio is an independent outside activity, not a service of any university.
01 Services
Prices are starting points, not quotes. Every project gets a written quote after a short scoping conversation.
- Bioinformatics analysis and consulting - RNA-seq, WGS and variant calling, GWAS, single-cell, pangenome and graph-genome work, pipeline troubleshooting and code review. Starting from $50/hr; specialized work (for example pangenome) $100-150/hr. China clients: from 150 RMB/hr. Project packages quoted on request.
- Statistics review - review of analysis plans and manuscript statistics, method selection, results interpretation. Hourly consulting rate; quote per manuscript on request.
- Research mentoring and graduate-school guidance - research projects for students, program selection, SOP feedback, mock interviews. Starting from $75/hr. China clients: about 100-300 RMB/hr.
- Teaching and tutoring - 1:1 tutoring in R, Python and statistics; short courses and workshops for labs and teams. Quote on request.
- Scientific editing - language and scientific editing as tracked changes and comments. Quoted per word count on request.
- Science video - video abstracts from $1,500 per project (3-4 weeks); video editing from $40/hr.
02 How to work with us
- Inquiry - send the form below or email. Describe the question, the data and the deadline. No data files at this stage.
- Scope - a short call or email exchange to agree what is in and out, the deliverables, the credit (acknowledgment or authorship) and the price.
- Engagement letter - a one-page letter in English or Chinese that sets scope, price, deadline and the integrity terms. Nothing starts until you sign it.
- Deposit - usually 50% before work starts; the balance on delivery. Every payment gets an invoice.
- Delivery - report, code, figures, tracked-changes file or session notes, as the letter lists, with a walkthrough so you can explain every method used.
03 What we do not do
We do analysis, statistics, editing, teaching and mentoring. We do not write theses, papers, SOPs or application essays for clients, sell papers, add or accept gift authorship, or do graded homework or exams. Authorship follows ICMJE and is agreed in writing before work starts. Students disclose the help to their advisor or committee.
